Role overview
To manage the development and implementation of the teacher education project with a focus on improving teaching practice of Teacher Educator and teachers. At VSO, a Project Manager is responsible for planning and organising project resources to achieve sustainable project results with good value for money. S/he is responsible for learning, documentation, regular monitoring and timely communication of project results to relevant stakeholders. S/he is accountable to primary actors, VSO partners and VSO management.
Skills, qualifications and experience:
* Experience and success in planning and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders including government
* Minimum 3 years in project management with an international organisation
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
* Ability to build effective working relationships, inspiring confidence with staff, volunteers and other stakeholders.
* Experience of managing project team members/volunteers in an inspiring way.
* Effective coordination and excellent time management skills.
* Experience of successfully monitoring and managing budgets.
* Ability to analyse and proactively identify issues.
* Ability to manage a project in a climate of change, recognising and accommodating uncertainty and opportunities.
Desirable:
Experience in leading Education Projects in Myanmar.
