Role overview
Leading and managing the People and Operations function in VSO Myanmar as a trusted people business partner providing leadership, expertise and high-quality services to enable VSO people, employees and volunteers to deliver effectively.
As a member of the country Senior Management Team working in a small office team, you will positively influence and provide operational hands-on support with multiple demands and build team capacity to deliver high-quality programming through an exciting and ambitious phase of expansion. You will be working with international and national staff and volunteers– as well as global, regional and country teams and ensure we get the most out of our people resources with effective operational support. Key areas will range from effective people resourcing, performance management, people information system and management, compensation and benefits, engagement, safeguarding, security, health and safety, duty of care, learning and development for both employees and volunteers. More importantly, you will manage a team to ensure the smooth running of office management, IT and logistical support to staff and volunteers.
The role will involve travelling to rural areas with occasional international travel.
