Role overview
We’re looking for a savvy digital marketer to support us with social media and digital advertising.
Skills, qualifications and experience

Social media:
You will manage our social media channels for both VSO and ICS.

We’re looking for someone who has experience managing large social channels for a brand and is comfortable project managing high-impact campaigns across our social channels to increase volunteer numbers and build our supporter base. You be knowledgeable of the formats that best work across each channel and have experience working with external channels, such as influencers, to maximise the reach of our communications.

You should be comfortable working within a global organisation and passionate about sourcing our best stories to share with our audiences. Ideally you will also be a competent designer and capable of editing videos, so we can generate timely content in response to fast moving events

As the in-house social media expert, you will also be expected to support colleagues globally to improve their knowledge and use of social media channe ls.

Digital advertising:
You will be knowledgeable of best practice across PPC and display advertising and be able to support colleagues in running paid-for acquisition campaigns.

You should understand the importance of user journeys and be comfortable with analytics and other monitoring software that enhances user experience and increases conversions.

Website:
You will also be involved with managing our websites. So you should be a proficient digital copywriter with a good understanding of SEO. You will also be expected to support a number of exciting digital projects coming up over the next few years.

Other:
A passion for volunteering and overseas development is always a bonus as is the willingness to support VSO outside of your day to day role.
