Role Overview
This is a good opportunity for you to have experience with International Non-Profit Organization as a volunteer. Community Inclusion Adviser volunteer will to raise awareness of communities to ensure that parents and communities about inclusion so that all children, especially children with disabilities, can access and participate in schools. The community inclusion adviser will work with a small team of local community volunteers to support community initiatives with the aim of bringing 'out of school children' with disability back into education.
People with disabilities who have the relevant skills and experience are encouraged to apply for this position.
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent English and Myanmar language skills
- Ability to liaise and coordinate with a range of stakeholders
- Experience of managing projects at community level
- Experience of leading initiatives to increase student, parent and community awareness
- Ability to mentor and support a team of community volunteers
Desirable
- Experience of working in the education sector, and knowledge of inclusive education
