Role overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Infrastructure Manager to join our team, to lead on the provision of world class technology services to our employees and volunteers across the globe. Working closely with our regional IT officers in Africa and Asia, you will build strong business partnering relationships with regional management teams, to ensure the service provided continues to meet and exceed local operational needs. The ability to engage and influence at senior levels within the organisation globally is key, along with a talent for motivating, inspiring and developing other members of the team. Skills, qualifications and experience
Your previous experience of managing infrastructure within a complex, global organisation will enable you to be a trusted advisor to the Head of Global Information Technology. You will provide recommendations on solutions and technologies which will best support VSO in delivering on our "cloud first" strategy and maintaining a secure operating environment. You will be responsible for managing suppliers and vendors and your experience of managing procurement of goods and services will allow you to deliver best value for the organisation. You will be able to demonstrate experience of managing a small team to deliver in a fast-paced environment undertaking substantial technology, people and process change. The responsibility for managing Information Technology security, infrastructure resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery at a global level sits within this team. You will plan and oversee the infrastructure and connectivity roadmap and be responsible for implementation of major infrastructure projects.
