Role overview
International Citizen Service (ICS) is a UK government funded development programme that brings together 18-25 year olds from all backgrounds to fight poverty in overseas and UK communities. VSO is the lead contractor for this programme, working with 12 development agencies. The Senior ICS Accounts Manager will be the key point of accountability for the delivery of this contract through the specified agencies. The role will work in a highly effective, agile and responsive way to hold agencies to account for both the delivery of their targets and as well as quality of programmes. The Senior ICS Accounts Manager will hold authority to utilise mechanisms, processes and resources as needed to address agency performance concerns. Working extensively with ICS functional leads in VSO, this role will work with each of their agencies to shape priorities and identify capacity building needs in order to deliver ICS outcomes most effectively.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
The successful applicant will be experienced in establishing and managing senior relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to take decisive and corrective action is essential.
The successful applicant will be required to travel within the UK as well as overseas on programme evaluation visits.
